Guy Marshall-Brown

Guy Marshall-Brown is an artist, educator, and current practice-based research student - researching the relationship between architectural ruins and sculptural ceramic practice at University for the Creative Arts, UK.

A graduate from the Royal College of Art, UK - MA Ceramics & Glass programme, Guy's practice is multidisciplinary - involving digital tools, photography, and recently sound - how is most commonly focused upon using the ceramic medium as an avenue of investigation into the critical and historical debate; with dissertations on the positioning of ceramic practice within the material hierarchies, and the symbolism of clay within cultural narratives.

Upon graduating from the RCA in 2019, Guy was awarded an artist residency at Konstfack Keramik and Glas department., which was completed in early 2020.

Guy's ceramic sculptures have been exhibited internationally, and both his physical practice and his writing has been recognised with awards, and through features in publications.
